Our Residents and Families Love Us!

My mother could not be happier! The entire staff at Ranson Ridge is wonderful, available and accommodating. My mother needed to move from Independent Living and when she walked into Ranson Ridge she said "this is the place for me". She downsized, but has not missed her apartment. Ranson Ridge provides ample social spaces, excellent menu items from their executive chef, and available staff interaction. We have been so relieved to have her there especially during this pandemic. Thank you Ranson Ridge!

Gina M

My mother has lived at Ranson Ridge for one year. The AL is amazing! It is extremely clean and nicely appointed. Jeff, Cathy and the entire staff go above and beyond to keep the residents happy and well cared for! Cathy has been a life saver working with my mom's insurance company to assure her coverage!! The fact that the facility has remained COVID free is truly remarkable and a testament to the staff!! I would highly recommend Ranson Ridge to anyone looking for quality assisted living in the north Charlotte area!

My 97-year-old father has been a resident at Ranson Ridge for 2 1/2 years. It is a wonderful assisted living facility. Cheerful and friendly staff, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated living areas, and well-balanced, delicious meals. The staff has been so kind and patient with my Dad as his mobility, hearing and eyesight have decreased. I have never worried about him during the pandemic because I know they are taking care of him as they would a member of their own family.

 Tracey C

My Dad has lived at Ranson Ridge for little over a year. The communication especially during the pandemic has been exceptional! Cathy, Jeff and the staff are very thoughtful and caring. We know that Dad is in good hands. I highly recommend Ranson Ridge to anyone looking for a clean, active, positive environment for their loved one.

 Melissa S

My Mom has been at Ranson Ridge for almost a year. During this trying time of lockdown, the staff has been exceptional in keeping everything as "normal" as possible. She is very happy with the food and the CNA's are very caring and cheerful.

My siblings and I moved our mother to Ranson Ridge from an independent facility in Raleigh in February, 2020. It was a great decision. Mom is in the best health she has been in years. The entire staff at Ranson Ridge is caring and kind to our mother. They have lots of activities for the residents. Even during this time of COVID, Ranson has come up with activities that the residents can do from the entrance of their rooms (e.g.Bingo, ring toss). It is a relief to know that our mother is healthy, well care for and happy.

Excellent care! Devoted staff! Varied activities! Beautiful and clean spaces! There aren't sufficient words of praise to direct toward Ranson Ridge. In the time my mother has been a resident (2 years in Assisted Living and seven months in memory care), I have never had a complaint. Knowing that she is well cared for gives me peace of mind at a level that I never encountered at two other facilities.

My mother moved to Ranson Ridge in January of 2017 at the age of 93. After a year and a half, the staff advised that she move to the Memory Care Unit where she would have a higher level of staff assistance and programming for emerging cognitive issues. My review is equally applicable to our experience with both areas of the residence. From the time we met Cathy Hansen, she has been extremely professional, helpful, understanding and knowledgeable. There has been some change over in the position of Director of Resident Care, and we are very pleased with the current Director, Matt, and with the Memory Care Manager, Karen. I am the eldest of Mom's five children and am a retired licensed long term care administrator, but live out of state. Everyone keeps me very well informed and are also very willing to share information with my sister who lives locally, though I know this is extra time and work for everyone. We are very grateful to all her dedicated, compassionate care givers at Ranson Ridge.

My mother is at Ranson Ridge and we’re so happy that she is there. We now have peace of mind that she isn’t living alone, eating well, surrounded by friendly skilled staff, and residents. Before Covid they had outings to movies, luncheons, spa days and more. This facility cares about the residents and it shows when your there. During this whole Covid time, the staff has been very creative with activities to keep the smiles and laughs going on there. ( they have no cases of Covid yet) Again. we are so happy we found Ranson Ridge! Check it out!!

My mom moved into Ranson Ridge almost three years ago, and we have been very happy with her care! Mom moved from her home where she had lived independently, and we were all nervous about the decision to move to assisted living. We interviewed five facilities and left the decision to Mom...she chose Ranson Ridge and we were in total agreement! When you first enter, you notice the beautifully decorated rooms, but the best part is the staff...they are ALL amazing...so caring and loving with every resident...they truly feel like extended family. We are thrilled with the wonderful medical staff who respond quickly to any concerns. Also, they have a Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy group on site! Mom enjoys the food and activities and looks forward to the many musical programs. It is a very active community with many stimulating and interesting activities to keep residents active and engaged. During this crazy time of quarantine, we are so grateful for the exceptional care the staff takes to keep everyone safe and healthy. It means the world to have peace of mind knowing Mom is being well cared for. We love Ranson Ridge and are so happy Mom chose to live there!

My mother has been at Ranson Ridge for two and three quarter years. We have been nothing but pleased with the care she has received while there. When she had to be moved to the Memory Care unit five months ago, the staff did a wonderful job of transitioning her and making her feel welcome there. They have done a remarkable job keeping the facility virus-free. I would recommend Ranson Ridge highly to anyone needing loving care. Matter of fact, I hope they have room for me in a few years when my time comes.

The main reason my 91 yr Dad is doing so well is due to the Excellent care provided by the Staff at Ranson Ridge Assisted Living in Huntersville,NC. I can’t say enough good things about the facility. It’s clean, has comfortable rooms , good food , daily activities , friendly .caring, professional staff. My Dad’s been living there for 2 &1/2 years. I can rest easier at night knowing he’s in good hands at Ranson Ridge. Especially, at this time of COVID, every resident and employee remains Virus Free —- Impressive. If you have a Loved one that requires Assisted Living, I URGE you to check out Ranson Ridge in Huntersville, NC.

Sam M

Excellent from top to bottom. Cathy Hansen and the entire staff at Ranson Ridge were very patient and considerate as we went through the process of getting mom into assisted living, and ultimately into memory care. Thanks to Ranson Ridge, we know mom is safe, well cared for, and most importantly part of a genuinely caring community.

 Karen D

Wonderful facility!!! Staff is absolutely amazing, kind and caring. They have kept their facility covid free which is amazing!! The facility is beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous. I feel so relieved that my family member is there and being take care of so well!!!

Ranson Ridge has been a life saver especially during this pandemic. My mom lives in the Lodge which is the memory care unit. I cannot visit her as I use to before covid-19, but they are her Ranson Ridge family and I know she is in great hands. They take good care of her and do their best to keep her busy. I am so thankful she is in a safe and loving environment. Thank you, Ranson Ridge!!

Brad M

Wonderful place and caring staff for my dad who arrived under difficult circumstances. One year later and he is doing well. The staff keeps me and other family members well informed.

My father lived at Ranson Ridge the last two years of his life. He so loved the people, residents and staff alike, that he chose to have his memorial service there. It was "home" where he was surrounded by people who treated him with respect, dignity, and friendship. He received quality care when he needed it. Ranson Ridge is truly a "community".

My mom was a resident for over two years in the Lodge, which is their memory care unit. Ranson Ridge is truly remarkable. I never worried a single day Mom was there. They take exceptional care of their residents, and it’s a safe, clean, beautifully decorated environment. They have plenty of activities and delicious food. My mom loved music and dancing, and there was always something fun happening there that she enjoyed. I stopped by unannounced very frequently and was always impressed with the care and treatment of residents. The staff really cares, and I truly felt that. Mom’s last years with dementia were tough for our family, but having her at Ranson Ridge made it much easier because we knew she was happy and cared for.

Words cannot express how grateful our family is that we found Ranson Ridge. I knew from the moment we walked in that this place was amazing and truly cared for their residents. Before my mom was a resident at Ranson Ridge (we were up there for my mom's assessment), she had a medical emergency while we were there. The staff jumped into action without hesitation~ it truly showed how knowledgeable they were and how much they care. They literally saved my mom's life. We had been looking for a new place to be closer to us so I could monitor her care better as we were noticing the lack of care. At the other place we had her at (which she had only been at since June), I would go visit or call my mom and she would still be in asleep and it was late in the afternoon. Come to find out, she was severely dehydrated (that was the medical emergency that thankfully happened at Ranson Ridge) because she literally was just getting the little bit of water they would give her to take her medicine. Now that my mom has been at Ranson Ridge, she is doing better than ever ~ she loves the food, her living quarters, all the fun daily activities and of course the staff!! And I completely agree with my mom. Moving my mom to Ranson Ridge was one of the best decisions I have ever made!!

"My Mother has been a resident of Ranson Ridge for a little over 3 years now and recently made the transition to The Lodge. From the beginning I have had a sense of comfort that my Mother is in good hands and well taken care of. The facility is beautiful and does not have an institutional feel at all, it seems more like a nice apartment complex. The staff is warm, friendly and caring. A number of them have been there for the duration of my Mother's tenure. They genuinely care for the residents and treat them with respect and love. Cathy Hansen has also been invaluable guiding me through the transition of my Mother to Memory Care once it became apparent that it was time. Being responsible for a parent is something I had never thought of until my Mother was not able to live on her own. There are a lot of emotional, financial and logistical aspects that one cannot imagine until they are seeing them first hand. Working with the Ranson Ridge staff has really helped with this and greatly reduced my concerns as a caregiver." Perry C., September, 2019

"To be closer to us in a relocation, we just moved my mother-in-law to Ranson Ridge. She has been in an awesome AL facility for the past 4 years and we were concerned about leaving a wonderful facility. The entire Ranson Ridge staff and residents have bent over backwards to make her feel comfortable and welcome. The staff and residents are always smiling, happy and offering kind words. The facility is cheerful and engaging. Her biggest “ complaint “ is that the food is too good! We could not be more pleased. Ranson Ridge is an amazing facility." Linda B., July, 2019

"We moved my mother-in-law from Georgia to Ranson in March 2019. It was the best decision! Staff are wonderful! From Front Office, Medical, PT, OT, Food Service, Activities Personnel, Cleaning Staff...hope I didn't miss anyone. So glad we can now drop in anytime we want!" Diane S., September, 2019

"Our referral to Ranson Ridge came from a neighbor. On our first visit we were very impressed with the size and layout of the facility, the studios for the residents, the numerous common dining, activity and living spaces, and the overall cleanliness. Of course, the friendliness of the staff and their obvious caring attitude toward the residents was an important factor in our decision to move Mom there. Since her arrival we have been more than satisfied with the attention that she receives, with the activities offered for her enjoyment, and, again, the welcoming smiles from staff and residents. Ranson Ridge definitely earns an A+ from our family. Dee E., July, 2018

"Knowing the negative feelings my mom had about going into, in her words a "home," it took me over a year and several meetings with Cathy to finally move her to Ranson Ridge. I'm amazed at how quickly she's adjusted and how much she enjoys being there. Her first week at Ranson Ridge, she had a busier social schedule than I ever have! Mom's told us countless times how nice it is there, how friendly and kind the staff is and how delicious the food is. After a recent visit, my son commented that this is the happiest he's seen grandma since she moved to NC. Ranson Ridge is a beautiful community with a very friendly and caring staff. I can now rest assured that my mom is safe and receiving good care while having fun, socializing and enjoying herself. I'm thankful that my mom is a part of the Ranson Ridge community."  Janet K., July, 2018

"My Mother has been a resident at Ranson Ridge for two years and this has been a great move for her. Previously she was living alone and getting more and more withdrawn from life. After moving to Ranson Ridge she became more social and engaged in activities that keep her mentally and physically stimulated. The staff at Ranson Ridge does a wonderful job of looking out for the residents and it gives me peace of mind knowing my Mother is well looked out for. The building and grounds are nicely apportioned and do not have the institutional feel we found at some other Senior Living facilities. It is also comforting knowing my Mother will be able to stay in a familiar, trusted environment as she moves along her life's journey since Ranson Ridge offers progressive levels of care and has its' own memory care facility in The Lodge."  Perry C., July, 2018.

"We just moved my mother and father-in-law here from Florida. This place is so nice. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have the most beautifully decorated family gathering rooms and an activity room this is beyond compare. The food is amazing and the residents are some of the finest of the Cornelius and Huntersville area. Southern Charm and elegance at its finest. Thank you Cathy Hansen for your above and beyond service; your place is a God send! Chanin M., Sept 2017.

"Our family moved my mom and dad to Ranson Ridge in October of 2016. They have been very happy there and receive very good care. It gives us peace of mind to know they are being well taken care of and are happy. The staff at Ranson Ridge has been so kind and accommodating to our parents and to us. We thank you for all your hard work and the love and care you give to the residents there."  Janet H., June, 2017

"My mother was a resident of an assisted-living facility about an hour from my home. She was not doing well and her health was in rapid decline, so I made the decision to move her closer to my home. Since moving her to Ranson Ridge, mother's health has made a 180 degree turn. She is now thriving physically, socially and emotionally. Her new lease on life is a direct result of the quality of care she is receiving at Ranson Ridge. I am so grateful to the care team for such remarkable service. Ranson Ridge has made my mother's remaining days truly golden!  Reggie T., June, 2017

"Congratulations on a very successful launch and first year at Ranson Ridge! You, and each member of your friendly, most competent staff, have built a community that has exceeded our expectations. The smile on mom's face each time I visit is proof enough that she is in a place where care and family are high values.  Great facility, great staff, and a wonderful aroma of apple pie today. My personal thanks for guiding me thru the sunset years of mom's journey.  Roddey B., February 23, 2017

"Moving my mom to Ranson Ridge has been a life changing event for both me and my mom. My expectation was to enhance her quality of life. That happened, but what I wasn't expecting was how it changed my life. I feel a sense of comfort and peace knowing that my mom is receiving capable, compassionate, individualized care. The staff is amazing! They have been more than willing to take the time to talk, to help, and even sometimes just to listen. I am truly grateful that we found Ranson Ridge!"   Sincerely, Barb H., February 2017

"We are so pleased with the care and facilities at Ranson Ridge. Our sister became a resident 3 months ago and seems to have adapted very well. Our family has peace knowing that she is being taken good care of now, eating regularly and not living alone. We commend your entire staff for doing such a wonderful job."    Shelby M., November 2016

"I am thrilled to have found Ranson Ridge Assisted Living for my mother. The building facilities are beautiful, well-maintained and the apartments are very spacious. But, most important, is the loving care my mother receives from all the care givers and staff. My mother has dementia and needs to be cued, directed and reminded all throughout the day and the staff does it with a smile!"    Cindy B., July, 2016

"I am pleased with having moved my parents to Ranson Ridge from another facility. The food is very good, the room is spacious and the staff seem to genuinely care for the residents and are patient, especially in the memory care unit. I will not be moving them again."    Donna G., July, 2016

"The move from another care facility to Ranson Ridge greatly improved my father's spirit, strength and health for a number of reasons. The meals have been enjoyable and feature a good variety. One expected women residents, but the number of male residents with who he can relate and create friendships has been a pleasant surprise. The staff members and administrators at all levels have been most kind, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and mid-afternoon activity sessions worth attending and the ice cream social a bit too worth while, waist-wise. We are thankful for the offerings of Ranson Ridge and a smooth transition."    Pastor Samuel's son, July 2016

"I recently moved my Mom to Ranson Ridge from another assisted living center. We received terrific support from Cathy and team in learning about Ranson Ridge, selecting a room and planning the move. On my Mom's second day, we told me, "this was a good move. I feel like I've come back home." What a relief!!! She has made new friends. She loves the activities, the staff, the food and the facility. We were anxious about her move, but we could not be more pleased with our experience at Ranson Ridge."   Tracey H., May, 2016

"I am so pleased, beyond what my words can express, about the amount of gratitude I have to ALL of you at Ranson Ridge. Where do I start? Not only is Ranson Ridge beautiful, but you have the most BEAUTIFUL staff and residents inside and out! Warmth, Beauty, Kindness and Love is present from the moment you enter the building and I believe is contagious even when you leave!"  I love Ranson Ridge and, I say this with tears in my eyes, may god bless you all for opening a better place for my mother and others to live!!!   Terri C., March, 2016

"I am so happy with the care that (my dad) is already getting at Ranson Ridge. Bayada set up his come care today with RN, PT and OT. I thought I was going to have to do all that and at (his former facility) I would have had to. This level of care is amazing and takes a lot of worry off my plate. Wow. Thank goodness he moved when he did. Please let everyone know how happy we are. As a healthcare professional I couldn't ask for anything more. This is excellent care."   Melissa D., March, 2016

"Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and kindness towards my mother on her first few days there. Your staff has been so accommodating and wonderful. She is very happy and comfortable there--we are all thrilled with her new home!   Natalie's Family, March, 2016
